Going through old shots. Here are a few more shots in the Thompson area, March ‘09.

A – For the first 2 shots I exposed for the sun (so basically really underexposed the shot) and went black & white. These smaller versions don’t do the shots justice, but I was certainly pleased with the kind of solitary feeling I got.

B – The next 2 shots were taken at Pisew Falls outside Thompson. Quite neat to the the snow and ice formations from the fall’s mist.

The rest are just some neat shots.

While I was taking shots (see THIS post) I saw an opportunity to try and take a nice shot of my wife.

This is what I ended up with… critique and criticism is welcome!

… is the highway between Horseshoe Bay (North Vancouver) and Whistler, BC. Late in the September Christine and I took a little weekend getaway in Whistler. We’ve tried to make it an annual thing for us. We usually stay at the Whistler Pinnacle (although quite frankly I feel the hotel has been gradually heading downhill since we first started going up there.) Every time we go we also make a point of having a (in my case) steak dinner at Hy’s Steakhouse.

So about once a year I can say that I’ve had a really good steak!

Either way. Here are a couple of shots I took of the mountain landscape between Squamish and Shannon Falls, not too far outside North Van. I’d say my favourite is the last one. It can be really powerful country up that way!

OK… So more on this Thompson trip I took in March.

Had a blast, and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle and clear my mind some. Nothing will clear your mind better than a freakin’ freezin’ Canadian Winter. Actually, could have been a lot worse.

Here are a bunch of shots that I took (with a bunch more to come.) The gentleman that you see there that is not me is my best friend John. He’s big on SMART cars and apparently his wardrobe is brought to you by the colour BLUE.
