Before heading out this past XMas night, I saw this little guy just sitting there. He obliged and sat still while I brought a macro lens right up to his ugly mug! Same shot was taken with 2 different depths of field.
Little trick…

… for going through the pictures. I just discovered this. You can more forward or backwards through the picture viewing box by tapping the right and left cursor keys on the keyboard.
This is useful because some of my older work is of different heights, and can be a pain to use the mouse to proceed through.
Picture backlog!

I’ve got WAY too many pictures from the previous couple of years that I still need to go through. I’ve been slowly but surely sorting and processing, and am hoping I’m on the home stretch!
Here we go, a few pictures of the mother-to-be!
Little one…

… well for those that don’t know yet, we’re having a little one! Yes it’s true, Mr. “I don’t want kids” compromised and we’re having one. One little bambino. We found out that it’s going to be a girl. Hee Hee!
Truth be told, I’ve been spending the last year warming up to the idea of offspring. I can genuinely say that I’m excited. And not too worried either! (I knew these emotional suppression skills could be put to use one day!)
I’ve been doing some reading, some TV watching and a WHOLE LOT of observing trying to mentally prepare for the coming of the new soul. We’ve had the chance to pick up some second-hand stuff from one of Christine’s co-workers. We have treated ourselves with one item though, a “gliding” rocking chair. Christine figures we’ll a few years use out of it… which is good.
At this stage I feel pretty useless. It seems the mother-to-be is the one bearing a lot (pretty much all) the brunt and inconvenience of pregnancy. I’ve tried to be as supportive as I can, considering I’m a useless “man”. I think I’ll feel more useful when there is actually a separate little being to take care of. A little tummy I can tickle and a bum I can (uugghhhhh!) wipe. Little pooper.
Anyhoo… ’til next post!
