When we starting trying for our young one, I started observing around me as much as possible. When my friend John came down last August, we spent one day at Stanley Park.
Got a few shots of this cute little bugger running around.
A little day away…

We had the chance to head out to the Vancouver Aquarium yesterday. The forecast was for sunshine but unfortunately that didn’t come to pass. We ended up with a high overcast layer of cloud. Still, we think we managed to get some nice shots.
Here are the shots that I think are the better ones in the lot.
By the way, that little Monkey is a BUGGER to photograph! I’ve tried 3 times now and I’m still not 100% satisfied with the shots I’m getting. He’s in a dimly lit cage, and won’t stop fidgeting! Oh well, one day I’ll beat the little bugger!
Anybody longing warmer weather?

I’m particularly happy with the shot of Chris. I think it portrays her with a confidence and competency in a hobby she enjoys.
I’m also particularly happy with the shot of the robin. The multitude of small branches made it impossible to use the autofocus… so I had to go manual. Very happy with how it turned out.
The last two, well I was lucky as heck. The first presents the setup. As I was looking around I saw a Canada goose come in for landing. I JUST managed to train my camera on him and pull the trigger on the shutter as he slid-in for landing. I think I captured a neat moment there.
Sorry for the quiet time…

… been kinda distracted of late.
Here’s a couple of shots that I took this part spring in Stanley Park. Chris and I were just walking around Stanley Park and were next to a pond not from the Vancouver Aquarium. I particularly like the second shot; it’s like the crow is looking back at me asking “What? What did I do?”.
Either way, here they are.
